The specialty materials we produce are a vital part of daily life. It’s one of the reasons why our employees love working here. “It is rewarding to know we had a hand in making the products that go into the things people use every day, like appliances, automotives, and test strips,” Ann Ritch, Operations Manager at our New Berlin site, recently shared on LinkedIn.
Behind the scenes, our global supply chain teams ensure we efficiently deliver the best quality products to our customers, which our customers then use to make their products better, safer, and stronger for you. “There is a tremendous amount of detail and cross-functional collaboration needed to get from a high-level sales target to determining which products to sell to which customer on which day,” explained Andrew Downard, Chief Supply Chain Officer, in an earlier blog on understanding Mativ’s global supply chain.
Working in the supply chain organization at Mativ is a very collaborative experience. “I believe that collectively we know a lot more than we do individually,” Andrew continued. “That is why it’s important to focus on collaboration across the business, ask questions, and communicate, communicate, communicate.” Mativ’s culture of open communication and collaboration is one of the reasons why Renee Van Vreede, a Production Planning Team Lead at our Neenah Converting Center, enjoys working at Mativ. “What I like most about my job in general is the relationships I build with all the different functional areas,” Renee shared in our new video series.
In this first video, Renee is joined by Rod Hayward, Associate Manager of Procurement, and Benjamin Russell, a Supply Chain and Operations Rotational Development Program participant. Hear why they pursued careers in supply chain and what sets the team at Mativ apart.
