What’s the application process?

You must apply online to be considered for a position. Resumes are highly preferred as this gives your experience and skills the best platform from which to shine. We recommend that you tailor your resume to ensure your related experience stands out.

Once you submit your application, someone from our human resources or recruiting team will review your information and be in contact regarding next steps.

What is the interview process?

We want to get to know you but also give you a chance to get to know us. If your background and skills are a good match for the job, one of our recruiters will contact you to schedule a phone call. In this call, you’ll learn more about the team, role, and responsibilities and have an opportunity to ask questions.

After the introductory call, recruiters will present a list of candidates to the hiring team for consideration. The hiring team collectively will select candidates to continue in the interview process. Whether you’re selected or not, you can expect to hear from our recruiting team with an update on your application. From there, your recruiter will coordinate interview(s) with a cross-functional hiring team. The team will use a behavior-based interviewing approach as it’s important to understand your reactions to situations past or present.

What is behavior-based interviewing?

Behavioral interviewing is a technique that assesses a candidate’s ability to meet the job requirements based on their previous experiences. In the behavior-based interviewing, we will look for answers using the STAR method or similar, to understand the details of the experiences.

What can I expect if offered the position?

Once selected, you will be contacted by someone on our hiring team to review the terms of the offer with you. You will also receive written terms of your offer per country guidelines. The timing of the offer is dependent on the teams’ needs and location. After accepting the offer, a background check and drug screening may be required depending on your country. Once these pre-screens have cleared, the recruiter will confirm your start date, and we will welcome you to Mativ.

How long does it take to apply?

The application process should take less than 5 minutes.

How long is the overall interview process?

On average, the interview process will take approximately two to four weeks; however, we are committed to going through a full search to find the most qualified person for our open roles. Some specialized searches will take longer, and some will move faster.

How long is the onboarding process?

Our onboarding process should take less than two weeks, given your country or unionized facility. Most background screens will be conducted by a third-party vendor.
