To be considered for a position, you must apply online. Submitting a resume or curriculum vitae (CV) is strongly recommended, as it offers the best opportunity to highlight your experience and skills. To make your application stand out, we encourage you to tailor your resume to the specific role you’re applying for.
Once you submit your application, someone from our human resources or recruiting team will review your information and, if your skills and qualifications are a match, follow up to discuss the next steps.

An interview is not just a chance for us to get to know you—it’s also an opportunity for you to get to know us. If your background and skills align with the role, one of our recruiters or human resources team members will contact you. During this initial conversation, you’ll learn more about the team, the role, and its responsibilities. We encourage you to ask questions to better understand how you might contribute and thrive at Mativ.
Next, the hiring manager and human resources team will review the pool of qualified candidates and determine next steps. If selected, you’ll be invited to participate in an interview, either virtually or in person, with a cross-functional hiring team. This team will use a behavior-based interviewing approach to learn more about your working style, how you manage challenges, and more.
Regardless of the outcome, a member of our recruiting or human resources team will follow up with an update on your application after the interview.

Behavior-based interviewing is a technique used to evaluate a candidate’s ability to meet job requirements by examining their past experiences. During these interviews, we focus on responses that follow the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) or similar frameworks to gain deeper insights into your experiences and accomplishments.

On average, the interview process will take approximately two to four weeks; however, we are committed to going through a full search to find the most qualified candidates for our open roles. Some specialized searches may take longer, and some may move faster.

The onboarding process varies by role and function, but it primarily focuses on on-the-job training. Our training philosophy follows the 70/20/10 model: 70% of learning happens through hands-on experience, 20% through coaching and mentoring, and 10% through formal education.
